1. Introduction

Happy Wick ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

2. Data We Collect

a) Account Data
When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture via Google OAuth. When you sign in with Apple, we receive your name and email address (Apple may provide a private relay email address if you choose to hide your email). This data is stored securely by Supabase (our backend provider).


b) Feedback Data
When you submit feedback through the Support & Feedback form, we collect your user ID, email address, selected category, and message content. This is stored in our Supabase database and is permanently deleted upon account deletion.


c) Legal Acceptance Records
We record that you have accepted these Terms, including your user ID, acceptance date, and Terms version. This record is permanently deleted upon account deletion.


d) App Preferences
We store your app preferences (notification settings, briefing time, cache data) locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This data never leaves your device.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide and maintain the App
  • To respond to your feedback and support requests
  • To send you daily briefing notifications (only if you enable this feature)
  • To comply with legal obligations

4. Data Processors

We use the following third-party services that may process your data:

  • Supabase (supabase.com) — authentication and database (EU data center)
  • Google OAuth — sign-in authentication
  • Apple Sign In — sign-in authentication (iOS only)
  • Expo (expo.dev) — app infrastructure and push notifications
  • Groq — AI summary generation (no personal data is sent to Groq)
  • CryptoCompare (cryptocompare.com) — news feed and social statistics (no personal data is sent)

5. Data Retention

  • Account data: retained while your account is active
  • Feedback data: retained for up to 2 years
  • App preferences: stored locally, deleted when you uninstall the App
  • Upon account deletion: all personal data is permanently and immediately deleted from our systems

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

  • Right to access your personal data
  • Right to correct inaccurate data
  • Right to delete your account and associated data
  • Right to data portability
  • Right to withdraw consent

7. Cookies and Tracking

We do not use cookies, advertising trackers, or third-party analytics SDKs in this App. We do not track your behavior across other apps or websites. Supabase may use technical session tokens stored locally on your device solely for authentication purposes — these are not used for advertising or profiling.

8. EU/EEA Users (GDPR)

If you are located in the EU/EEA, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our legal basis for processing your data is your consent (given at account creation) and our legitimate interest in providing the service. You may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

9. California Users (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA:

  • Right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used
  • Right to delete your personal information (available via Delete Account in Settings)
  • Right to opt-out of the sale of personal information

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration.

10. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

11. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App.
